Account & Data Deletion Policy

At TalkWide, we give you complete control over your personal data. You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal information at any time.
1. How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
The fastest and most direct way to delete your account is through the TalkWide mobile app:
- Open the TalkWide app on your Android or iOS device.
- Tap your Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear icon in the top right corner).
- Select Account & Security ➔ tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion prompt. Your account and all data will be permanently wiped immediately.
2. How to Request Deletion via Email
If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your mobile device, you can submit a manual account deletion request by emailing our support team:

Please send the email from the registered email address associated with your TalkWide account and mention your username.
3. Types of Data Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently erased from our production servers:
- User Profile & Account Info: Display name, username, email address, password hashes, date of birth, bio, native and target languages, and interests.
- Photos & Media: All uploaded profile photos, avatars, and shared media files.
- Chat & Communications: 1-on-1 text messages, voice notes, and WebRTC call connection logs.
- Geolocation Coordinates: Saved country, city, and GPS coordinates used for proximity discovery.
- Device Tokens: Push notification tokens (FCM) and active session records.
4. Data Retention Period
Upon submitting a deletion request (either in-app or via email), your account data is immediately removed from our active production database.
Any encrypted database backup archives are permanently overwritten and purged within 14 days in accordance with standard disaster recovery lifecycle cycles. No personal data is retained or sold to third parties.
